It's Judo Ontario registration time again. Here's How

Passing of Doug Maffin

Sensei Doug Maffin in his judogiIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sensei Doug Maffin, who passed away peacefully at Lisaard House on April 10th.

Doug was a volunteer of the YMCA for about 50 years and was very active in a number of activities aside from judo like racquetball, canoeing, hiking, swimming, and photography.  Doug will be greatly missed.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life reception will be at Napa Grille, Cambridge, Thursday, April 26th from 4-7p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated for the Lisaard House or The Grand Valley Trails Association. As Doug bid a sad goodbye on April 10th to a full and wonderful life of 70 years, he wanted us to relay… "Happy trails to you all!"Relatives and friends are invited to sign Doug's online book of condolences at www.couttsfuneralhome.com
